Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 November 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how QuizPaper ("we", "the app") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the QuizPaper app.
Data we collect
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Account | Your email address and password (to sign in). If you sign in with Google, the account details Google provides to us. |
| Profile | Display name, language preference, appearance preference (light/dark) |
| Documents you upload | PDF files, or text you paste directly, plus the text extracted from them |
| Generated content | The study sets (questions, answers and explanations) and the lessons, including the audio of a lesson, created from your documents |
| Your activity | The answers you give (including written essay answers), your quiz history and scores, and the collections you create |
| Usage and purchases | How much you have used this month, to apply your plan's allowance. If you subscribe, the purchase token and subscription status from Google Play. We never see your payment card. |
| Technical logs | Which feature ran, when, how long it took, and errors, without the text of your documents. When a call to an AI provider fails, a copy of the failed reply may be kept for up to 7 days so we can fix the problem. |
QuizPaper does not access your device's camera or location, and no feature needs either.
How we use your data
- To provide the app's core function: storing your documents and turning them into practice questions and lessons.
- Processed by third-party AI providers: the text of your document (extracted from a PDF, or the text you pasted) is sent to AI model providers to write questions, lessons and feedback on your essay answers. The text of a lesson may also be sent to a speech provider to produce its audio. Only text is sent, never the original file. This is a core part of how the app works: without this step, your document cannot be turned into study material. The providers we use can change over time, and each acts on our behalf.
- To apply your monthly allowance for your plan (Free or Pro), and to confirm a subscription with Google Play.
We do not use your data for advertising, do not sell your data to third parties, and do not use third-party tracking or analytics software inside the app.
Who we share data with
Your documents and study sets are visible only to you within the app. QuizPaper is a single-user app with no sharing feature to other users.
Data is stored and processed through the following service providers, acting as data processors on our behalf:
- Supabase: database, authentication, and storage for the files you upload and the audio of your lessons.
- AI model providers and speech providers: the text described above, to create your study material and lesson audio.
- Google: Google Sign-In, if you use it, and Google Play, which processes your subscription payments.
How long we keep data
Data is kept while your account is active. You can delete a document, a study set, or your whole account at any time; see the Delete Account page. Copies of failed AI replies expire after 7 days at the latest. Google keeps its own records of your purchases under its own policies.
Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Access to your data is restricted through row-level security at the database level, so only you can access your own documents and study sets.
Children
QuizPaper is not specifically directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Your rights
- Request a copy of your data.
- Delete your account in the app, or request deletion by email; see the Delete Account page for how, and exactly what data is removed.
- Contact us with privacy questions.
Reach us at support@aunian.com for any of the above.
